Incap Slovakia, a key player in the electronics manufacturing sector in Central Eastern Europe (CEE), has significantly bolstered its production capabilities with a new investment. The company dedicated EUR 891,000 to upgrade its second Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line, equipping it with cutting-edge SMT machinery. This strategic move not only amplifies the factory's SMT production capacity but also facilitates a projected SMT workload increase exceeding 45%.
The modernized SMT line, which effectively replaces the capacity of two older lines, incorporates advanced features for seamless ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) integration. With a total investment of EUR 891,000 in this technological advancement, Incap Slovakia aims to enhance its SMT operations' scalability and agility, particularly in managing newly acquired projects.
Miroslav Michalik, Managing Director of Incap Slovakia, highlighted the significance of this investment in positioning the company at the forefront of electronic manufacturing services within the region. "Our investment in upgrading our production capabilities not only satisfies the growing needs of our clients but also positions us ahead in offering high-quality, efficient, and adaptable manufacturing solutions," Michalik stated.
This initiative is part of a larger technological evolution at Incap Slovakia, intending to replace four older SMT lines with two modern, more efficient lines. The benefits of this upgrade, including improved operational efficiency in SMT processes, reduced dependency on highly skilled technical personnel, superior production quality, energy conservation, and an enhanced profile for attracting new clients, are already being observed.
In addition to these advancements, Incap Slovakia expanded its Námestovo facility by 1,200 square meters in 2023 to accommodate growing production needs. This expansion has notably increased the company's box build production capacity by more than 50%, involving the transformation of existing warehouse space into production areas and the addition of a new material storage warehouse.
