The Japanese auto industry, recently beleaguered by the troubles of its top brand, Toyota, have renewed their faith in the belief that the global automotive slowdown in over. They have bet on Poland and have started investing, reports Puls Biznesu.
To that end, Bridgestone, the largest Japanese tire maker, will invest some €105 million in Poland.
The money will largely go toward increasing production capacity at its Poznań tire factory. The plant can already produce more than 23,000 tires a day, but the firm wants capacity to increase by another 5,600 tires per day come 2014.
