In the last few years, the Czech Republic has had some great news when it comes to international investment and this looks to be continuing into 2017 as General Electric has signed an agreement which will see them build turbojet aircraft engines in the country. As well as over 500 new jobs within the US manufacturing company, many industry experts have also noted how this could be a great step forward for the country with research jobs and ties to universities.
In total, over 1.3 billion crowns (€50 million) will be spent on a new plant but there is no detailed breakdown of the final financing just yet. Of course, there could be contributions from Czech’s investment incentives and we will find out in good time. According to reports, a location will be selected by mid-2017.
