ThyssenKrupp’s R&D base in Budapest now a global centre
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto, the research and development base in Budapest belonging to ThyssenKrupp of Germany has now been accredited as a global centre. ThyssenKrupp has made good progress in recent years not only producing axles for Audi in Gyor but also building a new factory thought to be worth HUF 30 billion for steering components. If all goes to plan, this factory will be up and running in 2018.
Furthermore, Szijjarto also spoke with Deutsche Telekom in Germany. As the Hungarian subsidiary, Magyar Telekom will be setting up completely new service centres across the country employing 360 employees.
