Since Sawmill 25 are building a completely new facility, Valutec has won an order for 17 timber kilns from north-east Russia’s largest sawmill. Thought to be valued at around €4.5 million, the deal marks one of the largest ever orders for the company.
In total, twelve E-wagon fed batch kilns are included in the order as well as five progressive FB kilns. Ultimately, this means that the order has a total drying capacity of 300,000 cubic metres over the course of a year - this translates to around 19,000 football pitches. On the whole, the new facilities will be used for pine and spruce boards in addition to planks which is what Sawmill 25 specialise in. As top-of-the-range equipment, the kilns boast 130 pressure frames which ensures a high level of quality consistently.
Although none have been received just yet, the order has been won and deliveries are set to start in the spring. After this, they will be assembled and should be up and running before the end of 2017. As a part of the Titan Group, Sawmill 25 now consists of 20 companies all based around the Archangelsk area.
