In order to supply wood pellets, Enviva Partners has agreed a ‘take-or-pay off-take’ contract with the UK. As a subsidiary of Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding (EPH), Lynemouth Power Limited will be the recipient of the wood pellets in a contract that will span eight years.
According to the information that has been released, Lynemouth Power currently has a coal facility with 420 MW and this will be converted into a wood pellet fuel location by the end of next year. With the contract in place, the first deliveries are expected in the last quarter of 2017 and into 2018; full supply will reach 800ktpa. Except for 160ktpa in GBP, the rest will be denominated in USD.
As one of the largest energy companies in Central Europe, EPH deals with Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hungary, and a whole host of other countries.
