Marking a presence in Slovenia since 1998, Bosch Rexroth transformed into an integral segment of the group, recording a remarkable EUR 7 billion in revenue last year. "Our strategic blueprint envisages achieving EUR 10 billion in sales by 2028," stated Reinhard Schäfer, the executive board member of Bosch Rexroth AG overseeing production and quality management, during the launch on 16th June. He emphasized that the newly established plant in Brnik will significantly bolster this goal.
Martin Andreas Hansen, the managing director of Bosch Rexroth Slovenia, illustrated that the expansive 24,500-square-metre facility incorporates 14,000 square metres designated for production, logistics utilizing 4,000 sq. metres, 4,000 sq. metres of office space, and 2,500 sq. metres allocated for technical zones.
Initiated in mid-2022, the construction of the Brnik establishment has already centralized numerous company operations. Specializing in developing and manufacturing advanced electric motors and spot welding transformers, the company caters to the automotive industry, machine tools, and production automation, offering customized solutions for distinct customer needs.
The novel facility will diversify the company’s portfolio, integrating screwdrivers into its product line, with a portion of the German production also relocating to Brnik. This strategic shift aims to optimize production processes in Slovenia, increasing the company’s output by 200% over three years. Employee numbers, which were around 400 at construction commencement, are anticipated to surpass 500 by the year’s end.
Prime Minister Robert Golob expressed his enthusiasm over Bosch Rexroth’s strategic investment, emphasizing its significant role in industrial electrification and addressing climate change requirements. He highlighted the crucial contribution of responsible companies investing in sustainability during global crises, such as the pandemic and energy, and the Ukraine crisis, predicting their success in the future. Employee satisfaction and high-value addition were other pivotal elements underscored by Bosch Rexroth executives and Golob during the event.
In a discussion about the investment and its expected positive repercussions, Golob mentioned, "I envision more success narratives like this in Slovenia and I’m optimistic about witnessing more in the vicinity. Let today’s event be a beacon of inspiration to us all."
To support the EUR 13.2 million investment, Bosch Rexroth has been granted a EUR 830,000 state incentive, reflecting the state’s confidence in the venture's substantial economic and industrial contribution to the region.
