For those located in Lodz, great news is coming after Nokia subsidiary Iris Telecommunication announced their intention to hire 350 people in a brand new office. To start, 100 people will make up the team in the Orion Business Tower before the enterprise quickly expands and employs a further 250 people.
CEO of Nokia in Poland, Piotr Kaczmarek, has said “We chose Łódź because of its location and good transport links. Our projects will be in Łódź and neighbouring provinces. We decided to stay here because of the atmosphere in and around the city. Our decision is based on what is happening here, the way the local labour market is developing and the investments here.”
Developed mainly as a broadband internet solution, this venture in Poland won’t be the first in the country for Nokia as they already have offices in Wroclaw, Warsaw, Bydgoszcz, and Krakow. However, they’re joining a famous building in the Orion Business Tower which has sixteen storeys and 10,000 square metres of space available for lease.
