KRAHN Chemie is intensifying its focus on Central and Eastern Europe by launching a new subsidiary, KRAHN Central & Eastern Europe, strategically located in Margaretenstrasse, Vienna, Austria, as of January 2024. This move is part of a broader strategy to bolster its business and enhance service efficiency across the region.
Thorben Liebrecht, the Managing Director of the newly established subsidiary, emphasizes the importance of this expansion: "The establishment of KRAHN Central & Eastern Europe serves as a regional hub to consolidate our activities and strengthen our sales force in the CEE area." This initiative aims to enhance logistics and sales operations, initially targeting the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia, with plans to expand to additional countries.
Previously, the region was served through smaller sales offices of its sister company, ALBIS, in several CEE countries and managed from Germany for Austria. The new setup will streamline operations and improve connections with both producers and customers. Already holding numerous distribution rights for prominent manufacturers such as ExxonMobil, Toyal, and Eastman, particularly in heat transfer fluids, the subsidiary is poised to further solidify and expand these partnerships.
Dr. Rolf Kuropka, Managing Director of KRAHN Chemie GmbH, notes the strategic importance of the region and the potential for growth. He commends Liebrecht, formerly Head of Plastics, Adhesives & Sealants at KRAHN Chemie Deutschland, for his vision and drive, stating, "Thorben's appointment is pivotal as we aim to significantly influence the market dynamics in this region and explore new opportunities." Liebrecht himself is enthusiastic about his new role, recognizing it as a significant opportunity to shape the future of the market in Central and Eastern Europe.
