Ayesa Wins Contract for Key Segment of Poland's Ambitious High-Speed Rail Network
Ayesa, an engineering and technology firm, has been awarded a contract to oversee the design and construction of a segment of Poland's high-speed railway line. This initiative forms part of the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) program, a major European transport infrastructure project that includes a new airport near Warsaw and an extensive network of high-speed railways and highways across the nation.
Scheduled to commence operations in 2027, the CPK network is expected to initially handle 45 million passengers, with plans to expand capacity beyond 100 million.
Ayesa's responsibility involves the design and supervision of a 17-kilometer stretch of the high-speed rail, which will connect Łódź and Wrocław and integrate them with the newly planned airport.
Employing cutting-edge technology, this railway line is designed to reach speeds of up to 250km/h, aiming to cut travel times and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. Ayesa Poland's Country Manager, Artur Majczak, emphasized the use of advanced BIM (building information modeling) in the design phase to ensure precision and efficiency.
Luis Sanchez Carreto, Director of Transportation for EMEA & ASIA at Ayesa, remarked on the project's significance in enhancing rail services and infrastructure, particularly in less connected regions of Europe, highlighting its potential to transform regional connectivity.
