CAREL Expands Operations with New Facility in Labin, Croatia
CAREL is set to enhance its presence in Eastern Europe with the expansion of its site in Labin, Croatia, the current hub for its subsidiary CAREL Adriatic. The company is constructing a new 5,200 square meter facility, slated for completion early next year. This expansion is a strategic move to augment CAREL's production capacity, aiming to bolster its rapid growth in Europe, especially in the Eastern region.
Once the new plant becomes fully operational, CAREL anticipates employing up to 100 additional staff, supplementing the over 200 employees already based at the Labin location. Furthermore, the facility will include a showroom to foster closer customer relationships. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the factory, observe the manufacturing process, which primarily involves humidifiers and electrical panels, and explore CAREL's comprehensive product range in person.
Francesco Nalini, CAREL Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed pride in the new Croatian plant, noting Eastern Europe's dynamic market growth and CAREL's continued success in the region. He highlighted that this project aligns seamlessly with CAREL's industrial strategy and its global footprint, which includes 9 factories and more than 27 commercial subsidiaries worldwide. Nalini also referenced CAREL's resilient response to the pandemic and its positive financial outcomes in 2020, underscoring the company's confidence in continuing its tradition of growth and innovation.
