Stretch Hood Wrapping
When stretch hooding, an undersized film hood is stretched hydraulically to a dimension matching the exact outer circumference of the load. The four grippers that have stretched the film travel down the load applying the film and finally securing it underneath the pallet ensuring a reliable hold between pallet and load for optimum storage and transportation. Our film unwinding during stretch system (Lachenmeier patent EP 1 184 281) eliminates thin and fragile film on the corners of the load. The system makes film on the corners approx. 30% thicker than normal. At the same time, not unimportantly, our film unwinding system saves you up to 10% film, as you can down gauge film thickness and reduce packaging costs.
Our Stretch Hood machines reach capacities of 180+ loads an hour which makes it possible to replace two stretch wrappers (spiral wrappers) by one stretch hood machine..!
Shrink Wrapping
The principle of shrink wrapping is in short that an oversize film hood is applied onto a load which is subsequently shrunk by means of heat. The heat makes the film contract around the load thus ensuring the optimum transport stability. With our non-contact hood application system which saves film as the direct vertical application makes it possible to reduce the film circumference, and our unique shrink system, ensuring equal heat distribution to all four sides of the products, which provides the optimum shrink result, our range of shrink wrapping machines is an approved alternative to stretch hood wrapping.
