Czech Railways is to purchase 4 dual-source battery-electric trains from the Škoda Group, they will also put out tenders for 30+ vehicles of a similar nature. Czech Railways will also invest in its infrastructure such as rails, signalling, stations etc. Investment in railways is happening across the Central and Eastern European region with Czechs CEE neighbour Poland the largest invested in its railway infrastructure in CEE over the last few years.
