PepsiCo, the renowned US food and beverage giant, has unveiled its impressive EUR 300 million snack factory in the southwestern Polish village of ĹwiÄte. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to generate 450 new jobs initially, with a plan to add an additional 150 positions in the future.
During the official opening ceremony, attended by distinguished guests including Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, PepsiCo's investment in Poland was highlighted as a testament to the country's attractiveness to international investors. Prime Minister Morawiecki praised the record-breaking foreign direct investment in Poland, which exceeded PLN 110 billion (EUR 24.3 billion) last year.
Expressing his satisfaction with the Polish-American cooperation, Prime Minister Morawiecki emphasized the significance of the new snack plant, located near the city of WrocĹaw. He emphasized that the project not only creates jobs but also stimulates the development of an entire ecosystem around the town of Ĺroda ĹlÄ
ska, benefiting both the investor and local farmers.
The prime minister commended the efforts to attract foreign investors and described PepsiCo's new snack factory as a cutting-edge facility that prioritizes environmental concerns, technology advancements, and the labor market.
PepsiCo Europe CEO Silviu Popovici underlined the strategic importance of Poland as a market with substantial growth potential, noting the company's three-decade-long investment history in the country. He referred to the environmentally sustainable nature of the newly opened snack facility as a significant milestone for PepsiCo in Europe.
The plant is set to serve as an export hub, supplying its products to over 20 European countries, solidifying its role as a key player in the European market.
