Verbund, Austria’s largest electricity producer and transporter, which has been eyeing the local energy market for two years, is to launch a partnership with a local company through its Austrian Renewable Power (ARP) subsidiary. The purpose is to develop a 150 MW wind energy park in the southeastern Dobrogea region. The project is estimated to be worth €225 million and has already received the green light from the company’s management, according to market sources for Business Standard. Verbund Romania officials declined to comment.
