Samsung Electronics LCD Slovakia held the opening ceremony for its new facility in Voderady (Trnava region) on Friday, with Samsung president Ho Young Lee claiming that the company will play a role in the expansion of the large-screen television market.

Samsung Electronics LCD Slovakia is based in the industrial park in Voderady, where construction began on April 30, 2007. It now employs 800 people who operate six assembly lines that will produce six million TV screens per year.
