ZÁLESÍ a.s., a long-established Czech industrial manufacturer based in LuhaÄovice, is making a significant investment of nearly 90 million CZK to expand its tube packaging production. The company is installing a new high-speed, fully automated line for laminated tubes, a move driven by the complete utilisation of its current production capacity and the growing demand for new customer projects.
The upgrade centres on the modern SAESA 240 Swiss manufacturing technology, complemented by an automated packaging line. Together, these systems will increase the output of ZÁLESÍ’s Obaly division by 45%, while also substantially improving production efficiency, flexibility and sustainability. Full-scale series production on the new line is scheduled to start in January 2026.
According to Ing. Josef Hampl, CEO and Chairman of the Board of ZÁLESÍ a.s., the laminated tube programme has become a strategic pillar of the company’s long-term growth.
“This segment has been performing exceptionally well in recent years. Production is growing, we are meeting our commercial objectives and the long-term potential remains strong. It also helps us diversify beyond the automotive industry, which is currently facing multiple challenges across Europe,” Hampl explained.
The new technology represents a major step forward for the company’s production capabilities. Compared with existing equipment, the automated line enables a dramatically higher output with the same number of staff, thanks to faster changeovers between formats and diameters and reduced downtime.
Hampl also highlighted the sustainability benefits:
“The line is more energy-efficient and can process innovative, eco-friendly materials, which is increasingly important for us from a sustainability perspective.”
The investment reinforces ZÁLESÍ’s position as a key player in the Czech packaging market and supports its long-term strategy of modernising production, expanding product capacity and strengthening non-automotive business segments.
