Taiwan and Poland have strengthened their economic partnership following the 13th Taiwan–Poland Bilateral Economic Consultations, held on November 14 in WrocĹaw, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced. The meeting focused on expanding business cooperation, enhancing industry exchanges and advancing joint initiatives in high-tech and renewable sectors.
The consultations were co-chaired by Deputy Economic Minister Cynthia Kiang of Taiwan and MichaĹ Jaros, Secretary of State at Poland’s Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.
Largest-Ever Taiwan Delegation Highlights Growing Commitment
Kiang noted that Taiwan’s 2025 delegation—made up of more than 100 representatives—was the largest ever to attend the consultations. She said this reflects Taiwan’s strong commitment to deepening economic ties with Poland and demonstrates how the partnership has become a model of Taiwan–Europe trade cooperation.
Poland Seeks Closer Supply Chain Integration With Taiwan
Jaros praised the growing economic relationship, calling Taiwan a trusted and strategically important partner. He emphasized Poland’s aim to build secure, resilient supply chains with Taiwanese companies and said the government is working to simplify procedures and provide one-stop services for Taiwanese investors looking to expand their footprint in Poland.
Key Areas of Cooperation: ICT, Semiconductors, SMEs, and Renewable Energy
According to the MOEA, both sides explored opportunities to boost collaboration in:

Innovation for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

Two important agreements were also concluded:

A new memorandum of understanding to support the development of special economic zones and industrial parks

A renewed MOU focused on SME cooperation, innovation and startup development
Taiwan–Poland Business Council Highlights High-Tech Opportunities
One day before the consultations, Kiang addressed the 21st Taiwan–Poland Joint Business Council in ĹódĹş, attended by around 100 companies. Discussions centered on expanding cooperation in green energy, energy-efficiency solutions, automation, and ICT industries.
Trade and Investment Continue to Grow
Bilateral trade reached US$2.08 billion in 2024, according to official statistics. As of September 2025, cumulative Taiwanese investment in Poland totaled US$98.85 million, making Poland Taiwan’s sixth-largest trading partner in the European Union.
