Aug 24 (CTK) - Czech civil aircraft manufacturer Aircraft Industries, so far known under the old name of Let Kunovice, is to become part of the Russian state-run company United Aircraft Corporation (OAK), the Czech daily E15 said Monday. The producer of the commuter turboprops L 410/420 and of a number of different gliders is to become the first foreign asset of the aircraft giant seeking to restore the glory of the Russian aircraft, E15 said. The OAK was created by the Russian government with direct support from the current Premier, Vladimir Putin. The Moscow government has put state assets in aerospace industry into the firm, including the Russian military plane maker Sukhoi.
