German carmaker Audi will lay the cornerstone of a €900 million expansion at its base in the Hungarian city of GyĹr at the beginning of July, regional news website nyugathir.hu reports.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will attend the ceremony, the website said, without citing a source.
Audi announced the expansion last September. The investment is to raise output at the plant to 125,000 cars a year from 2013 and create 1,800 jobs.
