Two years after the establishment of the first Czech space incubator, the ESA BIC Prague, firms located outside Prague have had opportunities to use the technologies and systems of the European Space Agency (ESA). A branch of the space incubator announced its grand opening in Brno today to mark the 40th anniversary of the first spaceflight of the Czechoslovak astronaut Vladimir Remek. The new branch in Brno is located at the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC) and in the next three years it will provide support to over nine progressive start-ups that are seeking to find ways through which space technology can be applied in everyday life.
