The Swedish company VIDA Packaging sets up a new business in Estonia. The new daughter company VIDA Packaging Eesti Oy will be situated in Keila, approx. 20 km from Tallin. The set up will be made in close cooperation with one of VIDA Packagings customers and the ambition is that the business in Estonia should develop with a long-term focus on production and sales of packaging products and solutions. At the first stage emphasize will be on production of cabledrums and sales of VIDA Packagings other packaging solutions. In a short while also production of pallets and pallet collars will be produced by the new company.

The company will be running at full speed from the 1st of May 2009

With some 1,100 employees at 16 production facilities, VIDA AB is Sweden's largest privately owned sawmill company. Production is primarily focused on structural timber for a large assortment of different markets. Around 85% of production is exported to Europe, the USA and Asia. The VIDA Group turnover achieved SEK 4.0 billion per year.
