The fiat plant in Tychy Poland will soon building a new model the Lancia Ypsilon and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne expects this to help increase Fiat sales by 300%. The Silesian plant at Tychy has always been known for its production of the Fiat Panda.
Fiat wants to sell over 350 000 Lancia models by 2014 so increasing its presents sales of the Lancia models from 115 000 by over 300% of the current number of 115 000 25% is the Ypsilon model. The ability of Fiat to increase its sales depends on certain criteria such as competitive price, quality of the car as Lancia brand has had quality issues in the past.
Production of the new models will begin in the Spring and 60 000+ models are expected to be rolling off the production line by the end of 2011 and the total amount of cars produced by Fiat Poland will reach over 500 000 annually . Enrico Pavoni, CEO of Fiat Auto Poland states that Fiat has invested zĹ.1.4 billion in the production launch of the Lancia in Poland.
