Inventec Corporation, a leading Taiwanese electronics and IT manufacturer, has launched a major new high-tech production centre near Brno. The newly opened 52,000 m² facility in BluÄina will serve as Inventec’s European hub, consolidating manufacturing, logistics and customer services under one roof. The investment is strategically important for both Inventec and the broader European technology market.
The expansion is part of Inventec’s “in Europe for Europe” strategy, aimed at strengthening supply-chain resilience, improving delivery times and positioning the company closer to its European clients. Like many Asian technology firms, Inventec is accelerating its nearshoring plans, responding to global supply-chain shifts, increased cybersecurity requirements and growing demand for localised production within the EU.
According to Remus Li-Kuo Chen of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague, the project reflects a deepening partnership between Taiwan and Czechia, especially at a time when global supply chains are undergoing major restructuring.
Jan Michal, CEO of CzechInvest, highlighted that the investment demonstrates Czechia’s growing appeal for advanced technology projects and long-term cooperation with global industry leaders.
High-Tech Production for Servers, Chips and Advanced Electronics
The new plant brings together Inventec’s former operations in ModĹice and Slatina into a single modern complex within CTPark BluÄina. Roughly 30,000 m² of the site is dedicated to clean-room, tightly controlled production spaces suitable for advanced electronics manufacturing.
The plant will produce:
-
specialised chips for automotive applications
-
server systems for global cloud and data-centre partners
-
printed circuit boards
-
advanced electronics and connectivity components
“Relocating to our new CTPark BluÄina site marks a major step forward for our European operations,” said John Busby, Executive Director of Inventec Czech. “Centralising production will allow us to deliver faster, more efficiently and at higher capacity.”
The new facility will increase server production capacity by 15 percent and improve synchronisation with cloud-computing leaders as demand for AI and edge-computing hardware accelerates. Once fully operational, Inventec may create up to 1,000 new jobs at the site.
CTPark BluÄina Strengthened as a Strategic Industrial Zone
Representatives from Inventec, Taiwanese officials, the South Moravian Region and CzechInvest attended the ceremonial opening.
CzechInvest has supported Inventec since its initial entry into Czechia in the early 2000s and played a major role in securing the new investment—helping identify the optimal site, coordinating energy capacity requirements and supporting visa approvals for technical specialists.
CTP, one of Europe’s top industrial developers, delivered the BluÄina complex. According to CTP’s Czech Managing Director Jakub Kodr, the project was one of the most technically demanding in the country due to Inventec’s strict requirements for large-scale clean production areas. CTP is already preparing an additional 38,000 m² of industrial space at the site to support further expansion.
