HMMC has officially started the manufacturing process of the latest iteration of the Hyundai KONA Electric at its facility in Nošovice. Notably, extensive adjustments were made to over 500 robots within the plant. The battery cells, originating from Polish manufacturer LG Energy Solution, are meticulously assembled at the Mobis facility located in Nošovice as well. Forecasts from HMMC anticipate that the new model will contribute to approximately 15% of the total factory output by 2023. The initial production goal for the current year is set at 21,000 units of the new generation KONA Electric, with a significant increase to 50,000 cars slated for production in the subsequent year, 2024.
