Businessmen polled by the National Bank of Poland (NBP) expect a clear improvement in the economic situation in Poland by the third quarter of this year.
In recent weeks, there has been a notable, positive change in sentiment towards the finance crisis and the polled business leaders have changed their views from being from pessimistic into neutral.
”After 15 months of clear regression in the economic situation in the country, the business sector has noticed a slight improvement,” reads the statement by the national bank.
Just below 70 percent said their situation was good or very good compared with 68.4 percent in the previous quarter.
But low consumer demand, fluctuations on the currency exchange markets and credit flow difficulties are the main problems affecting the economy, according to the survey.
According to the NBP, a sure sign that the business sector is feeling more buoyant is the rise number of companies who plan to increase the employment.
