Poland is the world’s largest importer of used cars, according to Finance Ministry data.
In 2010, 718,000 second-hand cars were imported.
The average age of a car in Poland is 14 years-old, with 86 percent of drivers under the age of 30 choosing to buy a used vehicle.
Police are concerned that many of these used cars are not fully roadworthy, however.

Ĺźkiewicz from the Police HQ in Warsaw.
Such vehicles are air and sound pollutants, he added
