Business at the Sokol Timber Company will get a boost with the planned establishment of a new processing line targeted at producing parts for houses which will be made of glued laminated timber (glulam). The announcement of the new line, a project handled by Hundegger (Germany), will increase production and the expansion of the premium product range with the 280 mm timber. The line is also expected to reduce the current production costs.
The newly introduced equipment features tolerances within the range of 1/ 0.5 mm which makes it possible to successfully manufacture a house set (about 150 m2 area) in one working day. The different parts are marked to suit the project and the relevant specification. This line supplied by Hundegger functions based on CAD-based engineering software.
