Central Europe has not been for Japan a territory of economic expansion, but the recent decision of NHK Spring to build an automobile suspension plant in Tata, northern Hungary, has definitely changed future perspectives. The 10,000 sqm production facility is expected to be completed the next year, offering over 100 new jobs.
Important Hungarian officials have confirmed that this is not an isolated case, and that the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) is in advanced talks with other seven Japanese companies. The total investment is predicted to reach €364 mln and expand the job market with over 600 new positions.
