Just recently, Toyota announced their intentions to build their new-generation petrol engine in Poland and this is set to see an investment of €95 million. Located in the south west, the plant will start producing the 1.5-litre engine in Jelcz-Laskowice in 2020. According to reports, the engine will fit both conventional and hybrid models.

In a recent statement, Toyota said “The investment will total PLN 400 million, which will increase Toyota's engagement in production projects in Poland to almost PLN 4.5 billion.”
