Hungary's Eurofem-Halna Salakfeldolgozo has recycled about 3m tonnes of a slag heap near the now defunct Diosgyor metalworks over the past 14 years, and now it is building a HUF 1.59bn business and logistics park on the area it has cleared, managing director Attila Lengyel said at a press conference at the site on Friday.

Eurofem won a HUF 776m European Union grant for the park, Mr Lengyel said.

The park aims to draw SMEs by renting out areas as small as 300-500sqm. It is expected to open by the end of the year.
