Panattoni Initiates Construction of TRILUX's Pioneer Factory in Poland
Panattoni has commenced the construction of TRILUX Group's inaugural factory in Central and Eastern Europe, located in Swidnik, Poland. This groundbreaking venture by TRILUX, a leader in sustainable and cutting-edge B2B lighting solutions, spans an impressive 23,000 square meters. Panattoni, recognized as the leading industrial real estate developer globally, is steering the project which is set to employ 250 individuals. This development marks a significant stride for the TRILUX Group in the region, promising substantial economic benefits, particularly for the Lublin area, which seeks to attract such international investments.
A ceremonial event on February 15, 2024, marked the commencement of the factory, the first in Poland by the German-based investor. TRILUX, with a history dating back to 2004 in Poland through a Warsaw sales office, is expanding its European and Asian production footprint, which already includes six facilities. The company's offerings span smart lighting solutions for various sectors, including offices, industries, and healthcare facilities, under the TRILUX SIMPLIFY YOUR LIGHT and Zalux brands.
Hubertus Volmert, CEO of the TRILUX Group, emphasized that this investment would not only enhance their production and logistical capabilities in Europe but also foster product development and support administrative and IT functions. He highlighted the goal to consolidate and amplify their market presence in the rapidly evolving Central and Eastern European markets.
The construction contract awarded to Panattoni, a developer with over 14.6 million sqm of industrial space in Poland, signifies the importance of the Świdnik Economic Activity Zone. This project, facilitated by CBRE consulting, is set to complete in June of the same year.
The laying of the cornerstone was celebrated by dignitaries from TRILUX, Panattoni, and local government officials, underscoring the collaborative effort in realizing this pivotal project. Maciej Zawada, Development Director at Panattoni BTS, expressed honor in Panattoni being chosen for such a crucial and tailor-made facility, reflecting a partnership approach and deep understanding of TRILUX's needs.
Marek Foryński, Managing Director at Panattoni BTS, highlighted Świdnik's selection as a testament to its potential and Poland's significance in the CEE business growth. The facility's location, designed to enhance supply chain efficiency and meet dynamic market demands, underscores the strategic planning behind this venture.
Arkadiusz Lewenko, General Manager Central & Eastern Europe at TRILUX, praised Poland's selection in the site decision process, aiming to attract talents to the Świdnik facility. Meanwhile, Waldemar Jakson, Mayor of Świdnik, and Marcin Dmowski, Deputy Mayor, lauded the project for its contribution to the city's attractiveness and commitment to ecological solutions.
The TRILUX factory, slated for near key transport routes and Lublin Airport, will bolster the company's sustainability goals and operational efficiency in the region. Planned with BREEAM Excellent certification, the facility will incorporate eco-friendly features, including modern lighting systems, enhanced insulation, and provisions for renewable energy and biodiversity preservation, reflecting TRILUX's and Panattoni's commitment to sustainable development.
