Carbide is a Danish company specializing in the development and manufacture of carbide/tungsten sanding and grinding tools for building professionals and the do-it-yourself market.
The company was founded in 1999 by Svend J. Nielsen from Støvring, Denmark. On January 1, 2006, the company was converted to a limited company, Carbide A/S and acquired a new partner, Chief Executive Peter Larsen from Aalborg, Denmark. Peter Larsen relocated to China to take over the management of our manufacturing company, Carbide Limited, in southern China.
In Canton, we have established a 3,500 square meter manufacturing and warehouse facility with completely new production equipment, thereby doubling our present production capacity. On average there are 30 people employed at the manufacturing facility, which has been specially designed to provide the very best working environment and safety conditions.
Carbide A/S Denmark is also expanding its central warehouse facility in Støvring, Denmark, making it possible to deliver to all of our European customers within one week.
We continue to have developmental projects on the drawing board, and at the end of year 2006 we expect to be able to launch an exciting addition to our already wide-ranging product program of carbide-coated sanding and grinding tools.
From idea to use
The carbide-coated hand tool idea has been further developed by working closely together with building trade professionals, and this collaboration has become a natural part of the design and development process. This is the best way to ensure that Carbide tools are optimal with regard to functionality and ergonomic design.
