Mühlböck Type 1003
With the new drying kiln system Mühlböck type 1003, both the electricity consumption and thermal energy consumption are reduced to half.
With the new drying kiln system Mühlböck type 1003, both the electricity consumption and thermal energy consumption are reduced to half. The drying system type 1003 is a combination of several drying kilns or a progressive kiln and represents a combination of several patented developments from the research department of Messrs. Mühlböck. Besides reducing the energy consumption, with this system insulation losses are also a thing of the past. In Europe alone it was possible to save up to 25 million MWH or to convert this, 2.5 billion litres of heating, when using the drying kiln system 1003 to dry sawn timber.
MÜHLBÖCK drying systems are tailored to the specific individual situation at the customer's. They deliver perfect drying results, setting standards in terms of energy efficiency and economics.
Timber drying at the highest standards: This is what the name Mühlböck has stood for since the company was founded by Kurt Mühlböck over 40 years ago.
From the very beginning, the company has specialised consistently and exclusively in the development and production of drying technologies for wood. Today, Mühlböck is an international leader in this sector. More than 13,000 Mühlböck systems are in operation around the world.
| Drying kilns Nature cannot be made to conform to a standard. The demands made of a drying kiln are as different as wood itself. Mühlböck offers the optimum solution for each and every size and drying procedure.
Whether it be vacuum drying, steaming kilns, thermo wood lines or plug-in drying kilns, whether you require an overall package from the conception to training or special accessories – our product range is available to customers all over the world. |
| Plug-in kilns. Plug-in kilns.
Assembled ready for use in one day.
Up to a distance of 1,000 km from our factory, we supply transportable kilns ready for connection with a wood capacity of up to 60 m³. The kiln can be dismantled just as easily as it was assembled and then assembled again somewhere else

| Steaming kilns. Beautiful shades with modern steaming technology.
Colour nuances which can be finely tuned, safely reproducible even for lighter shades – these are the basic advantage of the Mühlböck steaming technology. The steam-proof design in stainless steel, the exact temperature distribution and intelligent automation all contribute towards these breathtaking results.

| Thermal wood lines The native alternative to tropical timber.
Elegant and beautiful shades of wood which are at the same time highly durable. With the thermal wood line developed by Mühlböck, you can get the very best from your wood. The wood is treated in a thermal finishing process which further enhances its basic properties. Without the use of chemical additives and without any waste by-product. The result is astounding: the treated wood has properties which are otherwise only to be found in much more expensive tropical woods. It can, however, also be processed and disposed of a before. The safe monitoring of the process and an optimum reproducibility guarantee the production of thermal wood on an industrial scale.
