Finish Thompson Inc. is a designer and manufacturer of industrial duty, corrosion resistant, chemical process pumps, drum and barrel pumps, solvent and engine coolant recyclers and coolant changers. FTI products are manufactured on site in Erie, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. and marketed worldwide through an international network of stocking distributors.
From its beginning in 1951 as a designer and builder of custom decorating equipment, to its current position as a growing supplier of fluid transfer pumps and recycling systems for the fluid handling and environmental markets, Finish Thompson has proven to be highly intuitive in projecting and reacting to changing market demands.
FacilityThe Erie, Pennsylvania facility houses an Engineering/R & D technology center to allow designing, prototyping, and testing of new products as well as the continuous improvement of current products. New product engineering receives clear direction and support from FTI's market research team.
A newly opened Plastics Center houses thermoplastic injection mold machines to facilitate on-site manufacturing of molded components for FTI's plastic pumps.
FTI's Custom Product Group (CPG) follows established guidelines to review requests for specialized products. Once accepted, the CPG follows the product from quoting through final production.
Products are supported by on site, highly trained, courteous customer service and product application personnel and reach the end user through over 70 domestic and international distributors. Regional Sales Managers in strategic geographic markets provide marketing and technical assistance to U.S. distributors.
A fully equipped Communications Department designs, produces and maintains product support material, web site, and advertising requirements. The MIS department oversees all network requirements.
