RHENOCOLL was founded in 1948 by Günter Zimmermann and is now run as a family business by Werner Zimmermann in its second generation. Initially, wood adhesives were produced, followed by further specializations in the areas of wood protection, furniture varnishes, decorative coatings for walls and facades, as well as special coatings - especially for windows and doors.

Our guiding principles are high quality and durability, environmental friendliness, and service.

In the RHENOCOLL Competence Center, which was inaugurated in 2002, all activities are concentrated: Research & Development, Application Engineering, and Training. In the RHENOCOLL Academy, all of these merge into a unique institution.

For innovative developments, environmentally friendly products, and processing methods, we have been awarded multiple times. In 2005 and 2009, we received the Innovation Award from the Minister of Economics, and in 2007, an award from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2017, we received the SUCCESS award from ISB and the Ministry of Economic Affairs. We were also selected among the TOP100, the 100 most innovative companies in Germany. In May 2019, Rhenocoll was awarded the Innovation Award 2019."
