The LUKAS History
1945 Consolidation of several parts of the company Frieseke and Hoepfner GmbH in Erlangen. 1948 Start of the development work on the hydraulic products which form the basis of today’s product range. 1955 Frieseke and Hoepfner GmbH is taken over by shareholders of the FAG group in Schweinfurt. 1962 LUKAS rerailing equipment launched for rail vehicles of all types. 1972 LUKAS rescue technology launched. 1981 Incorporation into the FAG group. 1990 Factory moves to the new premises in Erlangen, close to Nuremberg. 1993 Management takeover. Company is renamed LUKAS Hydraulik GmbH. 1995 Takeover through IDEX Corporation.
