The EBRD has made available €15 million euros of funding to AVIA Capital’sin Poland to help support Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in this country.
The funds are aimed to help support polish SMEs to facilitate their growth and development
With the current Covid crises the EBRD has taken an active role in supporting Central and Eastern Europe countries, this latest funding is part of the targeted strategy.
The EBRD has always been a major player in the Polish private equity market seeing its support as crucial in the overall development of the SME sector in Poland. The funds are available to different industrial areas with Machine Tools, automation, smart manufacturing and the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industrials seen as key sectors to help create growth in Poland as well as the wider Central Europe market.
“The EBRD’s investment will support the growth of Polish SMEs,” added Grzegorz Zieliński, EBRD Regional Director for Central Europe and Head of Poland. “The Bank’s investment will contribute to the development of alternative funding sources for SMEs in Poland.”
The Ebrd was founded in 1991 and has invested €10.5 billion in 434 projects in Poland with more projects ready to invest in the pipeline focusing on funding sources to the sme, corporate sector supporting industrial development and the overall green economy.
