Smurfit Kappa, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, has announced the acquisition of Artemis Ltd., a Bag-in-Box packaging plant located in Shumen, Bulgaria.
Expanding Presence in Eastern Europe
Artemis specializes in food and beverage packaging, producing bags for Bag-in-Box products, as well as films and caps for wine. This acquisition will integrate Artemis into Smurfit Kappa’s extensive network of Bag-in-Box operations across Europe. The move aims to strengthen Smurfit Kappa's presence and customer base in Eastern Europe, while enhancing its product portfolio and innovation capabilities within the Bag-in-Box sector.
