Japan International Tobacco (JTI) has announced the establishment of a new IT hub in Bucharest, Romania, marking a significant investment in the Central and Eastern European region. The newly launched hub employs around 140 specialists who provide a wide range of support services, including business technology solutions, data and analytics, software engineering, and cyber-security, according to a company press release.
This IT hub will play a pivotal role in enhancing JTI’s operational efficiency by supporting various internal activities, reinforcing the company's technological capabilities across its global operations. By selecting Romania for this strategic expansion, JTI is tapping into the country's growing reputation as a tech innovation hub in Europe.
