The producer of Chio snack items, Intersnack Hungary Ltd., has allocated HUF 1.5 billion towards a novel automatic packaging system in its Győr facility, located in Northwest Hungary.
This machine integration is a continuation of Intersnack Hungary's steady progression over the preceding decade. In the last three years alone, the company has funneled nearly HUF 4.5 billion into revitalizing its production location, with plans to further dedicate HUF 8 billion to enhancements in Győr within the coming year.
The Győr factory, already serving as Intersnack's hub for flour snack production in Central Europe, will become the primary manufacturing location for nearly all of the group's new chips from the next year. The factory's output is set to surge by nearly 25% due to these advancements, and the ratio of exports in production is expected to persistently rise. Last year, the company manufactured nearly 12 thousand tons of export products, valued at HUF 10.3 billion.
Intersnack has been an integral part of the Győr-Sopron-Moson county economy for the past 31 years. Over 74% of the company's revenue is derived from the products crafted in Győr. Since the start of its operations, the company has generated a total of 350,000 tons of salty snacks and has dispatched products from Győr to 27 countries globally, including far-flung locations like Uruguay, China, and the United States.
Currently, Intersnack Hungary employs 338 people and maintains contracts with 432 local suppliers and partners. Every year, it acquires 8,500 tons of wheat from 60 regional Hungarian farmers.
