Rohlig SUUS Logistics, a significant logistics provider in Central and Eastern Europe, has inaugurated its inaugural storage facility in Slovakia. Situated in Bratislava, this establishment functions as a versatile logistics hub, incorporating both storage and a processing terminal. This integrated approach facilitates the streamlined management and distribution of goods within Slovakia and extends to neighboring countries in the CEE region.
Spanning 2,300 square meters, the new warehouse is equipped to store up to 1,500 euro pallets using contemporary shelving solutions. Additionally, this Slovak branch of the Polish logistics firm offers a suite of Value-Added Services, such as order assembly and co-packing, with future ambitions to include customs services. Strategically positioned near the D1 highway, this location is pivotal for the transportation services offered by Rohlig SUUS Logistics, connecting Slovakia with the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, and Austria. Moreover, the company is keen on advancing its consolidation freight services by road, air, and sea in the region.
Artur Malarski, a Board Member at Rohlig SUUS Logistics responsible for CEE development, comments: “Our focus on expanding services in Slovakia stems from the perception of the CEE region as a unified business entity by many investors. Rohlig SUUS Logistics is actively enhancing its services here, starting with Slovakia and planning to extend these efforts to our other branches. Establishing a broad network of connections and warehouses is a strategic step towards our business goal of becoming a leading logistics service provider in the CEE region.”
This recent venture by Rohlig SUUS Logistics is part of the company’s ongoing global growth strategy. Last year, the firm opened its first international warehouse in the Czech Republic and plans to inaugurate another later this year, boosting operational capacity. In June, Rohlig SUUS Logistics took over Joppa Logistics, a Czech firm specializing in warehousing and consolidated road transport. Besides the Czech and Slovak Republics, Rohlig SUUS Logistics operates in Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, and Kazakhstan.
Michal Sisolak, the Branch Director at Rohlig SUUS Logistics Slovakia, states, “With the Slovak economy heavily reliant on exports from the automotive and electrical sectors, there’s a growing demand for comprehensive logistic services. Opening this warehouse is our way of providing crucial support for our clients’ business expansion. The fusion of warehousing and a processing terminal significantly expedites logistic operations, including the management of sea, road, or air consignments, and their further distribution in Slovakia, as well as in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe.
