German department store chain Woolworth is set to strengthen its presence in Central Eastern Europe (CEE) by opening a new store in the Galeria Słoneczna shopping centre in Radom, Poland. The company has signed a lease agreement for nearly 1,000 sqm, marking its first location in the city. The store is scheduled to begin operations in December, further expanding Woolworth’s footprint in Poland.
Galeria Słoneczna, a two-level shopping centre developed by AIG Lincoln in 2011, houses nearly 170 shops across 40,900 sqm. Since 2017, the mall has been owned by Reico’s ČS Nemovitostní Fond and is managed by White Star Real Estate, a trusted partner in the region. This strategic location offers Woolworth an excellent opportunity to tap into the vibrant retail market in Radom and cater to local consumer demand.
With this latest investment, Woolworth continues its expansion in the CEE region, leveraging Poland's growing retail infrastructure and consumer base to strengthen its market presence.
