Uzbekistan has experienced notable growth in its polyethylene (PE) production, reaching 213,800 tons in the first half of 2024. This surge is largely attributed to an increase in foreign sales, signaling strong demand for the country’s PE output in global markets.

Additionally, Saneg, a key player in Uzbekistan’s energy sector, has reported significant progress on its Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) complex in Bukhara. This development is expected to further boost the country’s PE production capacity, positioning Uzbekistan as a growing hub for petrochemical production in the region.
