Germany-based Biesterfeld Group, a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and polymers, has opened a new sales office in Riga, Latvia, as part of its ongoing geographical expansion. The newly established Biesterfeld Baltic will be led by General Manager Aurelijus Vaišnoras and will focus on supplying specialty chemicals, polymer, and rubber products to the region.

This expansion follows Biesterfeld’s recent acquisition of South African composites distributor Aerontec, further strengthening the company’s global presence. With over 50 locations across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, Biesterfeld continues to grow its operations, supported by a team of around 1,100 employees and generating annual revenues of EUR 1.38 billion.

In addition to its extensive product portfolio, Biesterfeld offers expert consulting services through its three business divisions: Biesterfeld Plastic, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, and Biesterfeld Performance Rubber. This new office in Latvia marks another key milestone in the company’s mission to expand its reach and better serve its clients across Europe.
