Thanks to a loan from the EU and EBRD to ProCredit Bank Kosovo, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country will receive the help they need to become competitive in their respective markets. Alongside EU grants, the EBRD has promised EUR 20 million under a number of projects and schemes. This includes;
• Western Balkans Enterprise Development and Innovation Facility • Instrument I for Pre-Accession Assistance • EBRD Shareholder Special Fund
Launched in 1990, ProCredit Bank Kosovo has been focused on SMEs for nearly three decades as they continue to play an important role for the economy. As an extension of the loan to the Bank, SMEs will be able to improve product quality, upgrade production lines, and realign themselves with EU regulations with regards to worker safety and environmental protection
