Etron Expands Global Footprint with New Romanian Facility through CTP Partnership
Etron Technology has secured a lease for 3,600 square meters of production space at the CTPark Oradea Cargo Terminal, courtesy of CTP. This move by the Asian electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, known for its PCBA supply to sectors such as industrial control, medical, automotive, communication, new energy, and high-end consumer electronics, marks a significant expansion of its operations.
The Romanian site will primarily support SMT & MI production lines alongside testing and assembly functions. Engineered for efficiency, the facility boasts state-of-the-art climate control, a Building Management System (BMS), and is outfitted with specialized equipment including static electricity discharge protection, compressed air, N2, and more, to ensure optimal production conditions. This strategic establishment in Romania reflects Etron's ambition to widen its global presence, which already spans China, Vietnam, Mexico, and Singapore, aiming to capture more business from European Union markets.
CTPark Oradea Cargo Terminal, where the new plant is located, occupies 14.4 hectares and features three buildings totaling 65,000 square meters of leasable space, alongside essential infrastructure such as an aircraft parking apron and a taxiway linking to the airport runway. Positioned in Romania's west, merely 10 km from Borş, the region's foremost border crossing, the terminal enjoys excellent connectivity. This includes direct access to Oradea Airport and the Eurobusiness II industrial park, as well as proximity to major cities like Timisoara, Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Deva, Debrecen, and Budapest, enhancing its strategic value for Etron's expansion and operational efficiency.
