Nokian Tyres has successfully produced its first tire at its new EUR 650 million production facility in Oradea, Romania. This milestone marks a significant step in testing the newly installed equipment and ensuring that the construction project remains on schedule and within budget. The facility is expected to commence commercial tire production at the beginning of 2025.

Adrian Kaczmarczyk, SVP of Operational Excellence at Nokian Tyres, stated, "With the first tire, we have successfully tested the production capabilities of our new factory, and all processes are functioning as planned. We have also trained new Nokian Tyres team members to produce premium tires with the same high standards as in our other factories."

Construction of the Oradea facility began in May 2023. Once fully operational, Nokian Tyres Romania will have an annual production capacity of 6 million tires, with potential for future expansion.
