FEPRA Opens Two New Recycling Units in Brad, Strengthening Romania’s Circular Economy Capacity

FEPRA has officially opened new PET and glass recycling facilities in the town of Brad, located in Hunedoara county. The investment marks a significant step toward increasing Romania’s national recycling capacity and supporting regional economic redevelopment. The two units were inaugurated on December 1 in the presence of local officials and community representatives.

The launch is particularly important for Brad and the wider Hunedoara region, which have spent years seeking sustainable, long-term economic alternatives following the decline of traditional industries. The new recycling operations are expected to create opportunities in green manufacturing and circular economy services while contributing to Romania’s broader waste management and sustainability goals.
