Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Armenia are set to benefit from fresh funding made available by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU), in partnership with ACBA LEASING.
The EBRD has extended a loan of $5 million (€4.6 million), which will be further enhanced by the EU's grant incentives of up to 12.5% for individual loans to MSMEs. In addition, Armenian businesses can access free consultancy services, both locally and internationally, provided through the EU4Business initiative.
This new funding will be disbursed by ACBA LEASING in the form of leases, allowing Armenian firms to invest in modern equipment, upgrade production facilities, and improve product quality while enhancing health and safety standards. Notably, 70% of the loan will be earmarked for investments in green technologies, helping companies adopt environmentally friendly practices and improve resource efficiency.
As a leader in Armenia’s leasing market, ACBA LEASING is owned by Acba Bank, a long-time partner of the EBRD, specializing in supporting MSMEs and the agricultural sector.
The EBRD, a leading institutional investor in Armenia, has invested over €2.4 billion across 220 projects, focusing on private-sector growth and the transition to a sustainable, green economy.
